I believe this problem may be some kind of driver issue / conflict or corrupt registry entry. Through Microsoft in the background while I install the official Canon drivers. The laptop installed the driver without an internet connection, perhaps this made a difference as the desktop installs something I installed the same driver on a small laptop running Windows 7 32 bit Ultimate edition and the printer worked on the first try. I still ended up with the same error when trying to print. I rebooted and reinstalled the following official drivers from the Canon website: MG3200 series MP Drivers Ver. Start > type "printui /s / t2" in search > ENTER > drivers tab, and made sure all printer drivers were uninstalled except "Microsoft XPS document writer." I then did the following to make sure the drivers were uninstalled properly: I tried uninstalling the drivers via programs & features and then "removed device" in devices and printers. Under device manager > USB controllers, I get no errors under "USB printing support." Under printer properties > ports, "USB001 virtual printer for USB" is checked. Is offline" is unchecked in the top left tab in printing jobs.

The printer is set as my default printer and no other printer is installed. I'm not using any USB hubs and the cable is about 3 feet. I've tried using 2 different USB cables and using 3 different USB ports. The copy function and scanner both work fine. Nothing changes on the printer itself when the error occurs.
